Our Story

Founded in 2011, Crewners opened its one chair barber shop as the first tenant of Downtown San Jose's San Pedro Square Market. Within two years, Crewners was the highest rated shop in California on Yelp, was ranked in the top 5% of profiles viewed out of 200 million users on LinkedIn and gained a loyal client base of over 700. In 2015, Crewners received the Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce's Small Business of the Year award and expanded to a three chair shop. Crewners moved to 111 Market Square in September of 2017, expanding to five chairs. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Crewners was forced to close its doors at 111 on March 15, 2020. We were, however, allowed to reopen for 48 hours in July only be shut down again.

Crewners has operated from a temporary location for the last two years, until July 2022. Crewners reopened its new 2-chair space in the Cannery Park building, located in San Jose’s historic Japantown.
